After two years spent wielding a backpack and guitar across Asia, Kora Feder (Feder rhymes with Peter) returned to the U.S. in 2017 with a Global Studies degree and a collection of songs written along the way. Upon her return, she began recording and touring across the US while living in New York City, Philadelphia, and her home region of Northern California. "The most talented new singer-songwriter I've heard in the past decade,” says Rich Warren, host of Chicago’s acclaimed Folkstage.

Kora's 2019 full length record 'In Sevens' spent four months on US Folk Radio Charts, with one track reaching over a million streams on Spotify. NPR described a performance of a song off the new record as carrying "an emotional weight that can stop you in your tracks, even long after the song is finished.”

NEW QUARANTINE SONG

"This is why my heart is broken. I have yet to hear anyone reach this deep to find it and sing it"
— Eliza Gilkyson

"The Statesman's Peter Blackstock calls this new tune from Philadelphia singer-songwriter Kora Feder 'the first great folk song to be written during/about the pandemic.' Co-sign. It's pretty great"
— Andy Langer, Austin City Limits

NPR ALL SONGS CONSIDERED FEATURE, 2019

"Kora Feder's entry, 'Automatic Times,' carries an emotional weight that can stop you in your tracks, even long after the song is finished. Simple in its presentation, it's a skillfully structured and impassioned plea for an end to gun violence." — Pilar Fitzgerald, NPR

THE DEBUT FULL LENGTH ALBUM

"Folk singer/songwriter Kora Feder looks much too young to have produced an album this mature and consistently terrific." - Americana Highways

"This is stunningly good." - Ear to the Ground Music

"With a lyrical straightforwardness evoking that of Pete Seeger, Ms. Feder masterfully shows the power of song-as-clarion-call." - Roots Music Report

"This plush and emotionally valiant collection of tunes has an ability to scratch out borders and barriers, aerating life into a singular boundless space, if only for a few stirring moments." - The Sacramento Bee
